Bam Adebayo recorded his 16th double-double of the season with 26 points and 15 rebounds and Pelle Larsson added 20 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 147-116 win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
Nikola Jovic scored 23 points on 6-for-12 shooting off the bench for the Heat, who had seven players score in double figures. Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 17 points, Simone Fontecchio had 14, Norman Powell added 13 and rookie Kaspara Jakucionis finished with 12.
This game marked the eighth time the Heat have scored 140 or more points this season. They are 8-0 in such games.
Jusuf Nurkic recorded his third consecutive triple-double with 17 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, becoming the first Jazz player to achieve the feat. Brice Sensabaugh scored 23 points off the bench and Keyonte George chipped in 19 points.
Back to back 3-pointers from Adebayo and Larsson with 5:34 left in the third quarter gave the Heat a commanding 90-68 advantage.
Utah was able to cut the deficit to 15 twice in the fourth quarter, but an Adebayo 3-pointer with 6:03 remaining gave Miami a 125-102 lead.
Miami outscored the Jazz 39-27 in the fourth quarter.
The Heat took full advantage of the offensive glass in the first half. Miami had 19 first-half offensive rebounds, the most in any half in franchise history. The dominance on the glass propelled the Heat to 19 second-chance points in the first half. Utah had just four.
Leading 46-41 in the second quarter, the Heat used a 19-7 run -- capped off by a Larson 3-pointer with 1:50 remaining -- to see their lead balloon to 65-48.
A Wiggins tip-in dunk with two seconds remaining gave the Heat a 73-52 lead at the break.
Miami outscored Utah 38-18 in the second quarter.
A Jaime Jacquez three-point play finished off a 9-2 run to give the Heat a 24-19 advantage in the first quarter. Adebayo led the way with 11 first-quarter points.
Miami will look to build on momentum when it wraps up a five-game West Coast trip on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns. Utah, which has lost six of its last seven, will try to get back on track Tuesday against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers.
